iPhone 6 ahead
Twenty million people might not be a large number considering China’s population of 1.4 billion.
But pre-orders of Apple’s new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus exceeded just over that number in only three days as its new models become available on China’s mainland this Friday.
Apple opened access to pre-orders at 12 retail stores around the country and awaits a busy time ahead when customers come to pick up their new phones, starting Friday.
Online retailers Jingdong and Suning also allowed reservations of both models and Jingdong had reached nine and a half million customers reservations by Tuesday.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was released worldwide earlier this month.
